AAGO's Next Executive VP Announced
In October our current executive, Chip Tatum, notified the Board of Directors of his selection as Executive Vice President of the Florida Apartment Association (effective January 2022). In the wake of his resignation, a nationwide search began in earnest with the support of the National Apartment Association to source candidates for our next AAGO Executive Vice President. In November, at the AAGO Board’s direction, a Selection Committee was established for the purpose of vetting candidates and making a formal selection.
With that, it is my absolute pleasure and honor to announce that our current AAGO Vice President of Member Relations, Monica Ramsey, has been selected as AAGO's next Executive Vice President. Monica's tenure will begin this January and the transition process has already begun. Mrs. Ramsey's dedication, enthusiasm, talent, background, and extensive experience gave her the edge against an extremely impressive pool of candidates for the position. Under Monica's leadership membership has grown by over 70,000 units to more than 213,000. Additionally, our communications program has evolved, we have ramped up member engagement efforts, and many successful new programs have come to fruition.
Next year we celebrate AAGO's 50th Anniversary, and we know Monica will amplify our association's culture of innovation, leadership, and growth as we head into our next era!
