2026 AAGO Volunteer Leadership Nomination
If you are interested in serving on the AAGO Board of Directors, please review the vacancies, application information, and qualifying requirements outlined below. AAGO members in good standing that meet the qualifications are eligible to be considered for any open Board positions by indicating their interest.
Please note, if you are a current board member, you are not required to resubmit your interest in serving on the Board for the next term. Per AAGO bylaws, management and supplier directors serve 1-year terms with the ability to serve a maximum of 3 consecutive terms (years.)

Director (Management and Supplier) - There are no available Director seats in 2026
Nomination Submission Process
In order to be considered for one of the vacancies above, you must fill out and submit an electronic nomination form for the position you are interested in serving. Individuals interested in submitting a nomination should prepare to spend roughly 30 minutes completing the nomination form.
Supervisor Letter of Approval - In order for your nomination to be considered, individuals must submit a letter of approval from their immediate supervisor and/or upper management stating that they will be given the time necessary to completely fulfill the duties of a director on the Board. Officers, senior management, or owners of companies are exempt from this requirement.

- The AAGO Board meets approximately once per quarter, but additional meetings may be called at the discretion of the President.

Once the nomination submission window has closed, the nominating committee will review, deliberate, discuss, and interview nominees in September.
Additional Information: Role Descriptions
Executive Committee-
Associate Vice President
- The Associate Vice President shall serve as the liaison to the
AAGO membership and shall perform any other duties as assigned by the President. The
Associate Vice President may not ascend to any other Executive Committee position.
Preferred - Completion of the FAA or NAA Leadership Lyceum Program is not required but is strongly encouraged.
The Apartment Association of Greater Orlando is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to improving the apartment industry in central Florida. AAGO is governed by a 17-member Board of Directors who set policy, strategically plan for the future, establish an annual budget and monitor the financial and operational soundness of the organization.
