AAGO Rebranding Campaign Wins NAA Excellence Award

Whether you have been an AAGO member for one month or 10 years, you know the association takes great pride in serving members and the apartment industry.  One of the many ways AAGO always strives for excellence is in the association’s ability to communicate and connect with current and potential members.  This month, AAGO was recognized for this commitment as we were presented with the NAA Excellence Award for Affiliate Communications for the second time in four years!

We are pleased to announce that AAGO was nationally recognized at the National Apartment Association (NAA) conference in San Diego, for the association’s recent rebranding campaign. This award was the result of the hard work of AAGO’s Communications and Branding Committee, the AAGO Board, association volunteers, and members.  Thank you to everyone who contributed to this important rebranding endeavor!

Over the last several years, AAGO has ramped up its communications efforts within the association and on social media.  In 2017, the Communications and Branding Committee worked with staff and the Board to approve a modernized logo and branding guide.  As part of this effort AAGO rolled out a freshly rebranded website www.aago.org. This new website helps drive member engagement and allows members to access the benefits of membership with the click of a button. After launching the website, AAGO sought to develop new branding materials that could share the association’s story in a visual way.

The goal of the dynamic rebranding campaign was to create a variety of promotional materials that could tell AAGO’s unique story. AAGO’s story encompasses: exclusive networking opportunities, education programs, and the positive impact of the association’s advocacy efforts. The association’s comprehensive rebranding campaign included the creation of a branding guide, a modern association logo, #weareaago postcards, association member window clings, logo stickers and visual business cards that could share a broader narrative about AAGO and the benefits of membership.

“I love the new look of the marketing materials and the double sided business cards. The photos really show off our events and prove AAGO is a great organization to belong to. Most importantly, they make you have the FOMO (Fear of missing out).”
