In this course, we’ll take a look at the major takeaways from the 2024 hurricane season and how they can help us better prepare for the future. From heavy rain and flooding to strong winds and surprise tornadoes, Central Florida and the Tampa Bay area experienced it all. We’ll talk about the real damage these storms caused—not just from wind, but mostly from water—and what steps communities, property managers, and residents took to protect their homes and recover afterward.

You’ll learn simple, effective ways to prepare properties, communicate during emergencies, and understand the risks that storms bring—even far inland. We’ll also discuss how fast-changing weather, evacuation challenges, and lessons from local recovery efforts can guide us in being more resilient going forward. This course is perfect for anyone looking to be better informed and more prepared before the next storm season hits.
