Unlock the essentials of electrical systems in multifamily buildings with our course designed for maintenance personnel. This course covers the foundational principles of electricity, focusing on their application within multifamily environments.

Participants will gain a solid understanding of:

  • Basic Electrical Concepts: Learn about voltage, current, resistance, and power, and how these principles apply to residential settings.
  • Electrical Safety: Understand critical safety protocols to protect yourself and others while working with electrical systems.
  • System Components: Get familiar with key electrical components such as circuit breakers, wiring, outlets, and panels specific to multifamily buildings.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Develop skills to diagnose common electrical issues, perform routine maintenance, and implement effective solutions. Basic and Advanced Troubleshooting Techniques will be explained. 
  • Code Compliance: Learn about local and national electrical codes and standards that affect multifamily residential buildings.

By the end of this course, you'll be equipped with the knowledge to manage, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems effectively. 

Students are asked to bring their own electric meter to the class.
