Maintenance professionals are often called upon to solve problems in fast-paced, high-pressure situations—whether responding to resident concerns, navigating miscommunication with team members, or managing expectations during stressful service requests. This course is designed to help maintenance professionals strengthen their communication skills, approach conflict with confidence, and respond professionally when tensions arise on the job.

Participants will explore common sources of conflict in multifamily maintenance, including resident interactions, workplace communication challenges, vendor coordination, and team dynamics. Through real-world scenarios and practical discussion, attendees will learn strategies for de-escalating difficult situations, communicating clearly under pressure, and working toward solutions that preserve professionalism and strengthen relationships.

This course will also highlight the role emotional control, active listening, and accountability play in resolving conflict effectively. Whether addressing a frustrated resident, navigating internal team tension, or having a difficult conversation with a coworker, participants will leave with tools to handle conflict more productively and contribute to a stronger maintenance team environment.
