The Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) is a specialized designation for developers, property managers, asset managers, and others working in the affordable housing industry through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.

Successful HCCPs understand how the LIHTC program provides safe, decent, and affordable rental housing for so many American families. Property owners and developers turn to HCCP professionals when they need a more thorough understanding of the complex net of LIHTC regulations that keeps owners and managers in compliance.


Who should get the HCCP certification? Community managers, asset managers, developers, and others working in the affordable housing industry.

Renewals: Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designees must complete four hours of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)-related continuing education every year.

Certification costs include 3-day course instruction with lunch, related materials, and exam.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Christa L. Landram, Compliance Manager & Course Developer, has been with First Housing since 2005. Mrs. Landram is responsible for developing all the affordable housing compliance courses on First Housing University. On behalf of NAHB, she administers the training and exam to become a Housing Credit Professional (HCCP). Additionally, she trains on behalf of the state at quarterly workshops as well as virtual and in-person conferences throughout the nation. Mrs. Landram’s responsibilities also include monitoring compliance under various affordable housing programs including Housing Credit, Multifamily Revenue Bond, and HOME. Her responsibilities include conducting on-site file reviews and physical inspections, as well as assisting in compliance training for owners and on-site staff. Mrs. Landram is a Certified Credit Compliance Professional-C3P, Certified Occupancy Specialist, HOME Certified Specialist, and Housing Credit Certified Professional – HCCP.
