New policies, protocols, and procedures have been implemented to protect your health.
Limited "in person" classes and events will resume in August 2020.
We are looking forward to hosting classes and some meetings in person very soon. Following the guidelines established by official agencies and medical professionals new policies, procedures, and options have been implemented. These changes have been made in the interest of protecting the health of our valued members, students, and guests as we each do our part to curtail the spread of COVID19. Please thoroughly review this information, and refer back to this page often to stay abreast of requirements and changes.

Steps We Are Taking for You
Protecting public health begins, but doesn't end, with us! Below, please find some of the steps we are taking in the interest of your health.
- All team members (staff) will wear masks when interacting with attendees, guests and each other.
- The team will maintain physical/social distancing at all times (whenever possible).
- High touch surfaces such as door knobs, countertops, tables, and bathrooms will be sanitized frequently based on use.
- Hand sanitizing options will be available throughout the building.
- Sick team members will stay home, and each team member will have their temperature checked daily.
- Classroom and meeting space capacities have been reduced.
- Fixtures and furniture will be rearranged and access to portions of the building restricted to maintain distancing.
- Other measures, as appropriate.
Attending an "In Person" Class or Meeting
You play an in important role in stopping the spread of COVID19. Thank you for reviewing, and abiding by, these requirements attending classes or meetings at AAGO. Signage has been added throughout the building to assist you.
- If you are sick or have recently (within 14 days) been exposed to someone confirmed or suspected to be infected with coronavirus stay home. We have temporarily amended our cancellation policy to provide you with flexibility should you fall ill. (Click here for amended COVID19 cancellation policy.)
- All guests and attendees entering the building will be required to consent to a "touch free" temperature check. Anyone with a fever will be required to leave the building.
- You must wear a mask that fully covers the nose and mouth at all times. If you have a medical condition or concern that precludes the wearing of a mask please contact us in advance for alternative arrangements. We will provide one time use masks to attendees that do not arrive with their own.
- Maintain social distancing at all times. No close talking, hugs, hand shakes, or high fives please.
- Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If hand washing is not possible please use available hand sanitizer containing at least 62% alcohol.
- Bring your own beverage. We have temporarily suspended common area food and drink service.
- You will be required to sign a liability waiver in order to attend a class or meeting in person.
- If you are uncomfortable attending in person classes, meetings, and events you may be able to "live stream" from your home or office. Contact us for more details!
- Other measures may be implemented as necessary.

Amended Cancellation Policy for COVID19
This amended policy applies only in cases where an individual scheduled to attend an in person class or event is ill or suspects they may become ill (i.e. recently exposed to someone suspected or confirmed to have COVID19). The current cancellation policies remain in full effect for all other cancellation reasons or circumstances.
If you are scheduled to attend an in person class and fall ill or suspect you may have been exposed to COVID19 stay home. Contact us in advance, if at all possible, and select from one of the following options.
- You may transfer your registration to a co-worker or colleague up to the day of the class or event. (Please make sure the transferee has all pertinent information for participating that you have received.)
- You may be able to "live stream" the class or event and still receive full credit (CEC or credential requirements) for participating.
- If you are unable to transfer your registration or live stream you will be able to cancel your registration up to the day of the class or event with no fees or penalties. At our discretion we may require documentation of illness from a licensed third party provider. If you pre-paid we will issue a credit on your account or a full refund, whichever you prefer.
- Please note, some events or designations may have specific cancellation provisions.
Larger "In Person" Events & Group Gatherings
Events with more than 50 people have been postponed, cancelled, or will be held virtually from March 2020 - June 2020. Each unique event or group gathering will have specific protocols to follow to ensure social distancing and curtail the spread of COVID19. Attendees and participants who refuse to comply with posted requirements will not be permitted to attend, and may be banned from participation in future classes or events.
