Government AFFAIRS COUNCIL

What We Do

The Government Affairs Council plays a critical role in protecting and promoting the interests of Central Florida’s multifamily housing industry. This council identifies and prioritizes local and regional legislative and regulatory issues that impact apartment communities, property owners, and suppliers.

Council members work closely with the AAGO Government Affairs team to rank priority issues, develop official positions, and act as a rapid response group when new matters arise. Their expertise and insight help guide AAGO’s advocacy efforts, ensuring that the voice of the multifamily industry is heard at every level of government.

(Membership on the Government Affairs Council is by appointment from the Chair. Individuals must serve in a multi-site role or have no less than five years of industry or operational experience.)
