AAGO Cancellation Policy
By registering for any programs, classes, or events you agree to the following terms and conditions.
COVID19 Illness Cancellation Policy | Amended May 11, 2021
This amended policy applies only in cases where an individual scheduled to attend an in person class or event is ill or suspects they may become ill (i.e. recently exposed to someone suspected or confirmed to have COVID19). The current cancellation policies remain in full effect for all other cancellation reasons or circumstances.
If you are scheduled to attend an in person class and fall ill or suspect you may have been exposed to COVID19 stay home. Contact us in advance, if at all possible, and select from one of the following options.
- You may transfer your registration to a co-worker or colleague up to the day of the class or event. (Please make sure the transferee has all pertinent information for participating that you have received.)
- You may be able to "live stream" the class or event and still receive full credit (CEC or credential requirements) for participating.
- If you are unable to transfer your registration or live stream you will be able to cancel your registration up to the day of the class or event with no additional fees or penalties. At our discretion we may require documentation of illness from a licensed third party provider. If you pre-paid we will issue a credit on your account or a full refund, whichever you prefer. **Updated** You (registrant) will not be entitled to refund or waiver of responsibility for any hard costs incurred by AAGO on your behalf including, but not limited to, NAAEI credential materials (books, etc), instructor fees, catering, or venue expenses. - Please note, some events or designations may have specific cancellation provisions.
When you cancel an event/class...
Unless otherwise specified, all cancellations must be made in writing and will be accepted 10 business days before the event. In most circumstances, with certain exceptions, event registrations may be transferred to another individual within your company. All no shows and late cancellations will be charged full price of event and no refunds will be honored.
Some events or classes may have specific cancellation policies that differ from the policy above.
When an event or class is postponed...
AAGO will always endeavor to produce events on the dates they were originally scheduled for. In the event of extreme weather conditions (i.e. hurricanes, floods, fires, etc) or other extreme circumstances the date of the event may be postponed. Cancellations will not be allowed unless hardship or conflict with the rescheduled date(s) can be clearly demonstrated. In most circumstances tickets may still be transferred to an individual(s) within your company.
When an event or class is cancelled...
In certain rare circumstances it may be necessary for AAGO cancel classes, programs, or events. Should a class, program, or event be cancelled by the association or venue then all pre-paid registrations will be refunded or credited to the member account. The decision to cancel or postpone an event shall be at AAGO's sole discretion and does not entitle registrants to rights or damages resulting from the cancellation.
